Jean Havilland’s extensive career encompasses work both in
front and behind the camera. As a photographic model she
quickly established herself in the media world soon becoming
known to millions as the famous Babycham Girl and later the
face behind major campaigns such as Lyons Maid Ice cream and
The North Eastern Electricity Board. Jean graced the covers of
numerous women’s glossy magazines and worked extensively in TV
and film as well as appearing in many TV commercials.

With her vast experience and natural artistic flair she then
turned her talents to the other side of the camera as a photo
journalist. Jean went on to photograph many major artists at
pop concerts where her subjects included Sir Cliff Richard,
Rod Stewart, Gloria Estefan, Jon Bon Jovi , in addition to
theatre production shots for plays and musicals, modelling
portfolios, celebrity and private weddings and special
occasions. |

Her talents became increasingly in demand to report at many
celebrity events. This led to her becoming a regular
contributor to the German publication Das Neue , Das Neue
Blatt and the glossy magazine Hollywood based in Switzerland.
Jean has interviewed and photographed a vast array of high
profile celebrities including David Hasselhoff, Jane Seymour,
Morgan Fairchild, Sir Christopher Lee and Major Ronald
Ferguson. |

Her first major commission was to photograph Brit Ekland and
other stars for the American TV channel E Entertainment at the
Mitcom Television Festival In Cannes. |
|
In the UK, Jean went on to have her work regularly published
in OK! and Hello! magazines in addition to the National and
Local Press. This included coverage on prestigious celebrity
and sporting events for tennis and real tennis at The Queen’s
Club, Cartier Polo, The Beaufort Polo Club, Tetbury often
attended by royalty, golfing tournaments and cricket matches.
Many of these events related to charities such as The Variety
Club, Sparks, The Willow Foundation, Rhys Daniels Trust, The
Bunburys, Banardos , Scope and Hope Appeal to name but a few. |
